Hi everybody, my name is Caitlin, thank you for stopping by.
My love for the ocean stemmed from growing up on the west coast of Scotland and spending many family holidays being lucky enough to road trip in pretty cool places! This really was the driving force which led me to study marine geography and then a masters in oceanography at university - and further onto my current job as a marine consultant.
But...I have always been creative and found joy in art. My artistic inspiration is drawn from the ocean and coasts. I’m in awe of the colours, depths, textures, and feelings these environments evoke. I aim to harness those feelings created by the ocean, whether that is calmness, warmth, boldness, or strength and transport them into people’s homes. I do so by working primarily on aerial perspectives and building on each layer using epoxy resin, textured paste, acrylic ink, acrylic paint, and spray paint.
